A group of Elliott Elementary students have been working hard with reading specialist, Janice Schultz, and Educational Technologist, Ashley Gardner to produce their very own student-led podcast episodes for our new podcast titled "Voices of Elliott." To make their dreams a reality, students have been leveraging technology tools such as PebbleGo, Wixie, and Adobe Podcast to research, plan, and record a podcast episode on a non-fiction topic of their choice.Â
When some of these students learned about a special visitor coming to their school, they couldn’t pass up the unique opportunity. So, they decided to pause the work on their personal podcasts to sit down and create what became a very special first episode with DoDEA’s Director, Dr. Beth Narvaez, on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024. Â
This library of episodes is constantly growing and at the time that this article was written, there were 4 episodes, including the flagship episode with Dr. Narvaez. Moving forward students hope to produce episodes on a variety of topics that they find interesting encompassing topics such as interviews, informational reports, reviews of favorite books, and more!
